All excellent We try to return to Amalfi at least once a year and always choose the Aurora hotel. The position is perfect overlooking the best bit of beach in Amalfi, the decor is typical of the region and very attractive and comfortable. But best of all, the staff are most welcoming, friendly and helpful and we are always made to feel at home. Breakfast on the pretty shady terrace overlooking the beach has improved greatly over the years and now they serve good italian coffee! We will always return to the Hotel Aurora. Rachel Black

My son Ben and I had a wonderful stay at the Aurora we are return guests and love the Aurora as your wonderful Receptionist and the breakfast and room cleaning Team make us feel so welcome and at home. We were in Europe for a month and the Aurora is the best hotel we ever stay in across Denmark, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, France and Australia. Due to my wifes 50:ths birthday we looked for a good standard hotel with a sea view. We had a wonderful time in Amalfi. Our choise of hotel was one of the reasons for that. The staff was very helpful. Aurora is really a good choise.

We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our terrace with great sea view. All staff were extremely helpful. Great location and very good value for money. It was also exceptionally clean and we loved our breakfast in the pretty garden. Sunbathing and swimming from the private beach were most enjoyable. We would love to visit Amalfi again and stay in the Aurora.

After deliberating quite a bit over a few hotels, I am so glad we picked the Aurora. Ideal & quiet location overlooking the marina and out to sea, but less than a 5 minute stroll to the main Piazza and an abundance of restaurants. No steep hill/steps to climb either! Rooms clean with crisp, clean linen on comfortable beds. ALL the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Walter the night reception man. Breakfast on the terrace is delightful but could be improved by a little more variety and adding fresh fruit juice. Will stay here again without a doubt, hopefully next year!

Come penso abbia constatato abbiamo un'ampia scelta di prodotti per un cold breakfast, fra i quali anche tipici come formaggio e torte fatte in casa. Anche se siamo un tre stelle cerchiamo sempre di venire incontro alle esigenze dei ns ospiti,come ad esempio nel suo caso, prenotando tramite Booking.com, le abbiamo dato un upgrade gratuito, nello stesso modo le avremmo assicurato una particolare richiesta per la colazione. Had a fabulous 4 night stay to celebrate my husband's 50th. Wow. What a gorgeous little hotel with fantastic views of the Amalfi coast. Had a standard sea view room but thought we had a big balcony but these were "superior" sea view rooms which I didn't realise and wish we had booked these rooms(we still had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table). nevermind we had an awesome stay and the breakfast on the terrace each morning looking out to the ocean was special. Room were basic but extremely clean which is pretty important. No pool but next to the beach and 4 min walk along nice boardwalk into Amalfi Town so was bit quieter up that end. Staff were ever so friendly and helpful too. Would recomend this Hotel

Nous étions déjà dans l'hôtel en 1995 et y sommes retournés en 2011. Bien situé, au calme avec une belle vue sur la mer. Bon accueil, parking assuré possibilités de visites nombreuses vers Capri, Positano, Napoli etc... Magnifique. On y retournera !

Hotel Aurora was charming and a perfect choice for our honeymoon. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us navigate the area and they ALL spoke English very well which put us at ease. This is a great hotel choice in Amalfi if you are looking for a small, quiet property near the beach.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Aurora for 4 nights and had the most amazing time! All of the staff was friendly and helpful, but especially the night concierge, Walter, who went out of his way to give directions, offer opinions of local sights to see, and get timetables of the buses and local trains. The rooms were clean and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was delicious. The view was amazing. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we're in Amalfi!

Fabulous location, set away from town centre with excellent views overlooking the sea. The reception staff were the friendliest of our whole trip with lots of useful information about excursions and transport. Would choose this hotel again if we ever were to return to the Amalfi coast. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Hotel Aurora. The location is ideal - within steps of the beach, the bus station, and the main piazza. The staff was very kind and the hotel was clean. The breakfast was delicious and on our last day they had it out on the terrace, which was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice hotel in Amalfi at a great price.

An EXCELLENT Hotel, great location, very professional and friendly staff, king size comfortable beds, good breakfast served on terrace overlooking marina, very high standard of cleanliness throughout hotel, offers value for money, wouldn't hesitate to return. We were thrilled with our choice and very glad we hadn't chosen to stay in Amalfi itself as the Church Bells start ringing at 07.00. Plus it's only a very pleasant 5 minute walk. Also try the bar/restaurant on the beach, it was very good and full of locals.

We had a wonderful stay. Great location, helpful staff. Our room had a lovely terrace with beautiful views and was immaculate. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts on a pretty terrace. Highly recommend.

Very beautiful hotel, lovely terrace with a beautiful view of the sea.. It was wonderful to have breakfast on the terrace with this lovely view. I really appreciated the location as it was right on the beach and since I have arthritis in my knee it was great that I didn't have to climb up steep steps. Also just a few minutes to city centre. Very helpful and polite staff. Very clean. If in Amalfi would choose this hotel again!.

Our stay at the Hotel Aurora was fantastic from checking in to checking out. This Hotel is very easy to get to, within walking distance from the ferry. The room was amazing, our balcony large and relaxing. We booked one of the services they offer, a massage, Rosario was wonderful - thank you! Thank you to the staff, as well, anything we needed, it was taken care of. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Aurora again!!

The hotel is in a great location with a beautiful garden where breakfast is served. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful and kind.

It was an amazing stay, the staff was extremely helpfull. Breakfast was very good and the view was awesome. Waking in the morning with the sea view had no price. The bedroom was very comfortable. I stayed in a few hotels along the amalfi coast and this was one of the best! Would always recomend it. Love the fact that it is separate from all the crowd but at the same time so close to the centre. The outer patio is also a very nice place to sit and spend time. Thank you!

Leider wieder im verregnetem Deutschland angekommen vermissen wir die herrliche Zeit in Amalfi und das wirklich tolle Aurora- Hotel mitsamt seinem Personal. Besonders der deutschsprachige Mitarbeiter am Hotelempfang ( Name leider nicht mehr bekannt ) war immer gut drauf, supernett und hilfsbereit und hatte einige gute Tipps auf Lager. Auch mit dem Rest der Hotelcrew hatte man keinerlei Probleme....im Gegenteil !! Das Zimmer mit Meerblick , die supergemütliche Frühstücksterrasse mit Traumblick und die Lage des Hotels haben uns völlig begeistert und wir können nur jedem zukünftigen Amalfi- Urlauber empfehlen, in diesem Hotel zu buchen. Für uns steht fest....wenn Amalfi, dann wieder im AURORA- HOTEL !!!! We had a wonderful stay at your establishment....My daughter was married in your beautiful city, and had a yacht moored at your marina....The ease of travelling from the hotel to the yacht was amazing. Your hotel is clean and modern, and the balconies offered an outstanding view of the Amalfi coast....Our little granddaughter took advantage of the beach just across the parking lot. We also found the short level stroll to the center of town lovely and very easy...as well as access to the harbor boats.

we have just returned from an unforgettable stay in Amalfi.Hotel Aurora is a magnificent hotel in an ideal location.It's just across the road from the beach and is only a short stroll to the town centre,ticket offices for ferries,buses,restaurants, shops and of course la Piazza del Duomo where it all happens! Our room was excellent-spotlessly clean,led onto a huge balcony with magnificent sea views.The staff couldn't have been more helpful.A very good continental breakfast was served every morning on the bougainvilla -clad terrace overlooking the sea .What a blissful start to the day! The fact that AURORA is situated on the road in a quiet cul-de-sac makes it one of the best places to stay in Amalfi.Most hotels in the area are located up higher and require the climbing of steps all the time,quite a challenge in temperatures of 35 degrees and more!We would definitely recommend this hotel as THE place to stay in Amalfi.

We decided to go for Aurora Hotel as it did not charge arms and legs for a night stay. We booked a superior double which had its own terrace. The hotel was clean and provided adequate services to its rating. We received very good service and help with parking our car. Enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace and wish there was fresh orange juice available to everyone and some ham, mozzarella and tomatoes added to breakfast buffet. Overall good experience. Would recommend it for a short stay 1-2 nights.

We had a lovely holiday at the Hotel Aurora. We were very pleased that we chose this Hotel - close to town on level walk - right on the harbour, when we saw the locations of other hotels we were even more pleased with the choice. The superior room we chose was well worth the extra money with a large terrace overlookong the harbour with lots of space for two loungers and table and chairs. Staff were lovely and very helpful in recommending restaurants. The breakfast terrace was beautiful and the buffet breakfast was just great! Thoroughly recommend the Aurora and also Amalfi as the most interesting of the resorts on the Amalfi coast. We will come again!

Good value for money. Clean rooms, very very kind staff. Parking in the garage - but too expensive!! Breakfast in the poor end, but enough of everything and fresh - and - served on a beautifull terrace with a harbour view. I can recomend to choose this hotel :-)

Stayed for six nights in a Superior Room with Terrace/Sea View - it was everything we had hoped for and more. Close proximity and level walk to Amalfi town, buses and boats so we were able to visit Ravello, Positano, Capri, Minori easily from here. Staff at hotel very helpful and we had dinner at some of the restaurants recommended. Loved it!

This is a great hotel. Very clean, close to downtown. We had a huge terrace through great french doors with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea.. The hotel is located right across the street frome the Sea. The complimentary breakfast was nice. I wish we had planned to stay longer. I would definitely stay at Hotel Aurora again and I highly reccommend it. The hotel staff was very helpgul and friendly.

Friendly reception, helpful staff. Andrew (Andrea(?)) was an absolute gem, who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Everything good, except the weather! We shall look forward to our next stay with you.

Hotel Aurora has the perfect position in Amalfi right on the water with wonderful views. We loved our room with the terrace. It was beautiful. We felt really well looked after, the lounge with the bar for pre dinner drinks. Then the service for breakfast, The reception staff were always very helpful, we wished we could have stayed longer and would love to return when the weather was warmer, We highly recommend the hotel, it was faultless.

We stayed at Aurora Hotel for 5 nights as part of a 3 month holiday through Asia and Europe. The hotel is located at harbour level and a vert short walk from the centre of town. The staff at Aurora were all very friendly and always available to assist with any question. They also suggested some wonderful restaurants in Amalfi, which made making a decision as to where to have dinner very easy. However, though we were very happy with the cleanliness and size of our room, and the views and size of our balcony, we found the hotel to be very noisy and every night and every morning we were disturbed by other guests as they walked past our room.

Oh my gosh! What a wonderful place you have there. A little slice of heaven. We were there recently on a holiday through Italy and by far this was my favouite spot. Your complex is exquisite. Your staff were amazing and very helpful. It is cetainly the place I would stay and recommend to my friends if I ever return, which I am sure I will. Loved it Loved it Loved it!!!

We did not enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Aurora in Amalfi. After booking a seaview double room 5 months in advance, when we arrived were given a room at the end of a corridor, looked more like a deposit area for cribs etc. The size of the room was very small, like a large closet. It was claustrophobic to be in there. The seaview, if you stretched your head all the way to the corner of the window you saw a bit of the sea. When we asked for another room we were told there were no other rooms available. In fact, staff at the front desk was not helpful at all upon our arrival. Had to pay extra for parking and internet service. Breakfast was OK. When we read the reviews in this site, we find 3 to 5 stars for this hotel. Guess they got the nicer rooms. I would not go again to this hotel and would not be recommending it to our friends. ---------- Thank you very much for your review. You have booked a room with standard size. We have superior rooms that are larger than standard rooms; they are located at the top floor with a terrace and are more expensive than standard. There are oak-trees at 100 metres from the hotel building but not in our own property. People provided to cut them during the winter but they are safeguarded so we cannot ask more. With regard to deposit in the corridor we apologize if you have had some troubles during the housekeeping from 9 am to 2 pm. We are very sorry for any inconvenience we have caused . Therefore we are prepared to offer you a superior room at the same rate which you have actually paid for a standard plus one night free. The offer is valid until the end of June 2011. Very pleased with the hotel. Location was perfect, with a great view, large balcony, just the right distance from the center of town so it was quiet but easy access to the main central area. On the level, so we didn't have to lug suitcases up hill. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet corner of Amalfi overlooking the harbour and sea yet within easy reach of the town. Parking and lifts are available. Our room was great and the bathroom fantastic, large balcony well furnished so it was well worth spending the extra for a superior room. Staff were really helpful and pleasant - we will be back!!!

Magnifico hotel situato in un incantevole scenario. La nostra camera affacciava in un terrazzino con una vista davvero mozzafiato, da cui si potevano ammirare il mare cristallino con le caratteristiche barche dei pescatori e i suggestivi promontori verdi che fanno della costiera amalfitana un luogo indimenticabile. Lo staff dell'hotel è stato davvero disponibile con ogni nostra esigenza e estremamente gentile. La camera era molto pulita e i colori delle ceramiche erano in perfetto stile amalfitano. In più, la colazione servita nel terrazzino adornato di bougonville rendeva il risveglio mattutino ancor più piacevole. Ottimo soggiorno. Da consigliare sicuramente!

Very good stay, out of the way and away from the buzz it is a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel for sure. When we are back in Amalfi we will stay here again without doubt !
